What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They let a site remember you between page loads, keep forms working, measure how the site is used so we can improve it, and - only if you choose - show personalised ads.
Cookies we use
Essential cookies
A small number of first-party cookies are needed for the site and its forms to work - for example, a session cookie and a CSRF token that prevents form-submission abuse. These are set automatically and cannot be switched off.
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 via gtag.js with measurement ID G-NNDZWX4J6F. This sets cookies (typically _ga and related) that help us count visitors, understand which guides are useful and diagnose problems. These cookies are set by default when you visit. You can switch them off at any time with Cookie settings, and your choice is remembered on your device. This data is not used for advertising.
Advertising cookies
If you accept advertising cookies, Google AdSense and its advertising partners may set cookies and read device identifiers, your IP address and the pages you view, in order to show and measure ads. If you reject them, the site may still show ads, but only non-personalised ones, which do not use advertising cookies or your browsing history. Google acts as an independent controller of this data under its own policies: see how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s ad settings. We do not sell your data.
How to manage cookies
You can change your analytics and advertising choices at any time with (also in the footer of every page). Your choice is stored on your device for 12 months.
You can also control cookies in your browser settings - most browsers let you block cookies, delete cookies already stored, or be warned before one is set. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
