Profhilo - skin quality, not volume.

An injectable hyaluronic acid bioremodelling treatment that hydrates the skin and stimulates your own collagen and elastin - for a fresher, firmer look without the frozen or over-filled appearance. A medical injector only, and honest advice on whether it is right for you.

Why patients choose us

  • 01

A medical injector, not a beauty counter

A doctor, dentist or advanced nurse prescriber who injects Profhilo weekly and understands facial anatomy - not a weekend-course technician in a salon back room.

  • 02

Honest about what it can and cannot do

Profhilo improves skin quality and mild laxity. It is not a filler and it will not restore lost volume. We tell you when a filler, thread or energy device is the better answer.

  • 03

    Independent, and free

We are paid by no clinic, so the recommendation - including whether to treat at all - is impartial and costs you nothing.

The problem

The right treatment, the right injector, and honest expectations.

Aesthetics is where hard-sell clinics quietly under-deliver - Profhilo pushed as a cure-all, non-medical injectors, no follow-up. We fix all three before you commit.

  • Is Profhilo even the right tool?

For volume loss or deep folds, a filler or thread beats Profhilo every time. We recommend it only when skin quality is the real issue.

  • Who injects you matters

Complications are rare but real. A medical injector on registered premises can prevent and manage them - a salon technician cannot.

  • Plan the course and the upkeep

Two sessions to start, maintenance every six months. We set the schedule up front so the result actually lasts.

The journey

From enquiry to glowing skin - what happens, in order.

One team from first message through both sessions, results and maintenance.

  1. 01

    Before

You tell us what you want to change

A short, confidential form. The concern - crepey skin, laxity, dull complexion, tech neck, ageing hands - plus your age, medical history and any previous aesthetic treatments.

  2. 02

    Before

We come back with a recommendation

Within one working day: whether Profhilo is the right tool, which areas suit it, how many sessions to expect, an indicative price, and honest alternatives if a filler or laser would serve you better.

  3. 03

    Before

    Face-to-face consultation and consent

A medical assessment of your skin, a discussion of realistic results, photographs for comparison, and written consent. Contraindications and any current infection are checked.

  4. 04

    On the day

    Session one

The injector cleans the skin and places the product at set points using the recognised technique - typically five per side of the face - as small blebs that spread under the skin. It takes about 15–20 minutes. No general anaesthetic; numbing cream if you prefer.

  5. 05

    On the day

    Aftercare and going home

The small bumps settle within 24–48 hours. You go home the same appointment and can return to normal activities, avoiding make-up, heat and heavy exercise for the rest of the day.

  6. 06

    After

    Session two, four weeks later

The course is two sessions about four weeks apart. The second treatment builds on the first, and the collagen and elastin response develops over the following weeks.

  7. 07

    After

    Result review and maintenance

Peak effect is usually seen 4–8 weeks after the second session. A maintenance treatment every 6 months keeps the improvement, tailored to how your skin responds.

Typical course: two sessions four weeks apart. Peak result: 4–8 weeks after session two.

When it helps

When Profhilo is the right step.

The concerns it treats well, plus the one situation where it will disappoint and something else is needed.

  • Crepey, dull or dehydrated skin

Skin that has lost its bounce and glow - Profhilo’s high-concentration hyaluronic acid deeply hydrates and boosts collagen and elastin.

  • Mild to moderate skin laxity

Early sagging along the cheeks and jawline where the skin quality, rather than lost volume, is the issue.

  • Tech neck and lined décolletage

Horizontal neck lines and crepey chest skin respond well, as these areas are hard to treat with fillers.

  • Ageing, crepey hands

The backs of the hands lose fullness and smoothness with age; Profhilo improves skin quality here without over-filling.

  • A natural, non-frozen look

For people who want fresher, healthier-looking skin rather than obvious volume or a treated appearance.

  • A complement to other treatments

Often combined with anti-wrinkle injections, fillers, microneedling or lasers as part of a wider skin plan.

  • From the mid-thirties onwards

Most suitable once natural collagen and elastin have begun to decline - typically the mid-thirties and beyond.

  • Red flag: it will not replace lost volume

If your main concern is deep folds, hollow cheeks or heavy jowls, Profhilo alone will disappoint - that needs a filler, thread lift or surgery, and we will say so.

Areas treated

Where Profhilo works, and how it fits a plan.

The face is the classic area, but the neck, chest, hands and body all respond - and Profhilo often works best alongside other treatments.

  • Full face

The classic treatment. Product placed at set points on each cheek to improve overall skin quality, hydration and mild laxity.

  • Neck

Targets horizontal neck lines and crepey skin - an area where fillers are risky and Profhilo comes into its own.

  • Décolletage (chest)

Smooths the fine, sun-exposed lines of the upper chest that make skin look older than the face.

  • Hands

Improves the crepey, thin skin on the backs of the hands, a common giveaway of age.

  • Profhilo Body

A dedicated formulation for larger areas - upper arms, abdomen, inner thighs and above the knees - to firm and smooth skin laxity.

  • Combination plans

Paired with anti-wrinkle injections for movement lines, or fillers for volume, so each product does what it does best.

  • Course vs maintenance

A starting course is two sessions four weeks apart; results are then kept up with a single session roughly every six months.

  • Profhilo Structura

A newer variant designed to add subtle support in areas of early volume loss, sometimes chosen where laxity and mild deflation overlap.

Our vetted UK network

A small panel of medical injectors, we picked them.

Doctors, dentists and advanced nurse prescribers across London and the major UK cities. Introductions are made privately, once we understand what you want to achieve.

Selection criteria

How we choose every injector in our network.

Medical injectors only
  • Medical injectors only - doctors, dentists and advanced nurse prescribers, never non-medical technicians

  • Genuine, in-date Profhilo from authorised suppliers, stored and reconstituted correctly

  • Honest advice on alternatives - fillers, threads, energy devices or surgery - where those suit you better

Safety and recovery

What to expect afterwards - honestly.

Profhilo is a well-tolerated treatment with little downtime. The things worth knowing are the temporary bumps, the gradual results, and the need to keep it up.

  • No anaesthetic, minimal downtime

Profhilo is injected awake in clinic, with numbing cream if you want it. Most people return to normal life the same day.

  • Injection bumps that settle

The small blebs where the product is placed are normal and usually flatten within 24–48 hours as the hyaluronic acid spreads.

  • Bruising, swelling and tenderness

Common and short-lived. Avoid alcohol, aspirin and strenuous exercise for a day or two beforehand to reduce bruising.

  • Lumps and nodules

Uncommon and usually temporary. Persistent lumps can be massaged or, rarely, treated - always tell your injector rather than waiting.

  • Infection

Rare with sterile technique. Avoid make-up, saunas and swimming for 24 hours. Spreading redness, heat or pus needs prompt review.

  • Vascular occlusion is very rare

Serious blood-vessel complications are extremely unusual with this superficial technique, but a medical injector is trained to recognise and manage them - which is why who treats you matters.

  • Not during pregnancy or infection

Profhilo is avoided in pregnancy and breastfeeding, and if you have an active skin infection or certain autoimmune conditions. We check this at consultation.

  • Results are gradual, not instant

Unlike a filler, you will not see a change on the day. The improvement builds over the weeks after the second session as collagen and elastin respond.

  • It needs maintaining

The effect is temporary. Without a maintenance session roughly every six months, skin gradually returns to its untreated state.

Frequently asked

Everything we get asked about Profhilo.

Quick answers on how it differs from filler, sessions, downtime, cost and the NHS.

  • Is Profhilo a filler?

No. Although it is made from hyaluronic acid like many fillers, Profhilo is a bioremodelling treatment. Rather than adding volume in one spot, it spreads under the skin and stimulates your own collagen and elastin, improving skin quality, hydration and mild laxity. If your goal is to restore lost volume or reshape a feature, a traditional filler is the right tool instead.

  • How many sessions will I need and how long do results last?

The starting course is two sessions about four weeks apart. Peak results appear roughly four to eight weeks after the second session, and typically last around six months. To keep the improvement, most people have a single maintenance session every six months or so, tailored to how their skin responds.

  • Does it hurt, and how much downtime is there?

Profhilo is injected at just a few points, so discomfort is brief; numbing cream can be used if you prefer. The small bumps where the product is placed usually settle within 24 to 48 hours. Most people go straight back to normal activities, avoiding make-up, heat and heavy exercise for the rest of the day.

  • When will I see results?

Unlike a filler, Profhilo does not create an instant change. The improvement develops gradually as your skin produces more collagen and elastin, usually becoming clearly visible about four to eight weeks after the second session. Before-and-after photographs at consultation help you judge the difference fairly.

  • How much does Profhilo cost privately in the UK?

Expect roughly £250–£450 for a single face session, £450–£800 for the two-session starting course, and £250–£480 per session for the neck or hands. Profhilo Body for larger areas is typically £400–£700. Maintenance sessions sit around £250–£450. We confirm a firm figure within one working day.

  • Is Profhilo available on the NHS?

No. Profhilo is a purely cosmetic treatment, so it is not available on the NHS and is not covered by private medical insurance - it is a self-pay treatment. What matters most is that whoever treats you is a qualified medical injector working from registered premises with proper complication cover, which is exactly what our network provides.
