About Pulse Atlas Health

London’s independent healthcare concierge and a clinically reviewed library for patients.

Our mission

Straight answers, and the right specialist - without the noise.

Pulse Atlas Health exists for one reason: private healthcare in the UK is fragmented, opaque, and often sold before it’s explained. Patients are left comparing clinic marketing, guessing at waiting times, and paying for tests they didn’t need. We do the work that a friend-with-a-medical-background would do - read the referral, understand the question, and match you to the specialist who’s actually right for it.

We take no commission from clinics or consultants for the patients we refer. Our editorial team and our matching team sit on either side of a wall: the guides you read on this site are written to be useful, not to sell you a scan. When we recommend a clinic, it’s because the clinical fit is right - never because of a preferred-partner deal.

We built a library of clinically reviewed guides - around 200 conditions, tests and wellness topics at last count - so patients can arrive at any consultation already informed. Every guide is written in plain English, sourced from NICE, Royal Colleges and the primary literature, and reviewed by a named UK-registered clinician before it goes live.

The goal is simple. If we do our job well, you spend less time on the phone, less money on the wrong test, and more time getting on with the answer.

Editorial standards

How our guides are written and reviewed.

  • Clinician-reviewed by a rotating panel

Every condition, test and wellness page is reviewed by a UK-registered specialist engaged for that subject area. Individual clinician names appear on a guide once the specialist is contracted for that subject; where a name is absent, the review is being finalised.

  • Review cadence

Guides are re-reviewed on a rolling 12-month cycle, and sooner when a NICE update, licensing change or major trial shifts the picture.

  • Primary sources only

We source from NICE, RCP, RCOG, RCR, ESC, the BNF and peer-reviewed journals - not from other patient sites, and never from clinic marketing.

  • Red-flag flagging

Where symptoms warrant urgent assessment, guides say so plainly, with the correct NHS route (111, A&E, or same-day GP) rather than a private route.

  • Editorial and matching are separate

Guides never recommend a specific clinic or consultant. The matching team works from your clinical need, not the editorial content.

  • Corrections policy

If we get something wrong, we fix it, timestamp the change, and - where the change is material - flag it at the top of the page.
