Why patients choose us

  • 01

    Honest advice first

We tell you whether a well-man screen is actually worth it for you — before you spend a penny.

  • 02

    Paid by no clinic

We take nothing from the centres we suggest, so the guidance stays impartial and free.

  • 03

    We stay for the findings

A screen often finds something. We are still here to explain it and arrange what is next.

Indicative pricing

What a well-man screen actually costs in London.

Indicative ranges across our partner clinics. Send the details and we quote firm figures across two or three options.

In short

A standard well-man in our network: £800-£1,600, with a structured report in 5-7 days.

Screen type Indicative range
Essentials well-man £450–£900
Standard well-man £800–£1,600
Executive well-man £1,500–£3,000
Well-man + PSA/prostate check £950–£1,900
Well-man + cardiac risk (CTCA/calcium score) £1,600–£3,200
Well-man + testosterone panel £1,300–£2,600

Prices vary by clinic, the breadth of the panel, and which add-ons (PSA/prostate, CTCA/calcium score, testosterone, DEXA, fertility) you include. We come back with a firm quote within one working day.

The problem

A useful screen — if the panel matches you.

Off-the-shelf men’s health packages tend to over-test in some areas and miss what actually matters for your age and history. A short consultant conversation up front avoids both problems — and it is exactly what a good concierge should give you. We do.

  • Is it right for you?

For some men a screen is genuinely worthwhile; for others it causes more worry than benefit. We will say honestly which.

  • Which panel?

Essentials, standard, executive full-day or a targeted add-on — we match it to your age, history and goals.

  • What happens after?

We do not just hand over a report — we explain the findings and arrange any follow-up.

The journey

From enquiry to report — what happens, in order.

One consultant physician or urologist from first conversation to report and follow-up — usually within a week or two.

Within one working day: which panel, which clinic, indicative price. If a screen is not the right step, we say so.

Often within a week, including evenings and Saturdays. Insurer pre-authorisation handled where relevant.

  4. 04

A closing conversation with your consultant summarising the day and outlining the plan for results.

  7. 07

    After

    Report and next steps

A written report in 5-7 days. We route it to your GP or specialist and support the follow-up.

Typical end-to-end: 7-14 days. Combined-imaging panels: up to 3 weeks.

What it shows

The panel that actually earns its keep.

A well-man screen covers a lot of ground — and comes with a real trade-off. Here is what it looks at, and the honest catch.

  • Cardiovascular risk profile

ECG, lipids, blood pressure and a validated risk calculator to place you on a real risk curve.

  • Prostate check (PSA + exam)

A PSA blood test and a clinical examination, interpreted against your age and family history.

  • Testosterone / andropause

A morning fasting testosterone panel with SHBG, free testosterone and symptom review.

  • Mental-health check-in

Structured screens for anxiety, depression, stress and burnout — discussed with your consultant.

  • Liver and metabolic screen

HbA1c, lipids, liver, kidney and thyroid bloods, with a clear read on what to change.

  • Musculoskeletal / injury history

A review of old injuries, joint pain, back pain and mobility — with onward physio if useful.

  • Lifestyle risk factors

Alcohol, smoking, sleep, exercise and diet reviewed honestly, with realistic changes agreed.

  • Red flag: chest pain, blood in urine, testicular lump — accelerated pathway

Any of these gets a same-day or next-day specialist route, not a scheduled screen.

Well-man screen options

Not all well-man screens are the same.

What each option on your quote is actually for.

  • Essentials package

Half-day: consultation, core bloods, ECG, urinalysis and cardiovascular risk score.

  • Standard package

Broader bloods, PSA where appropriate, mental-health screen and lifestyle review.

  • Executive full-day

Full-day consultant-led work-up with imaging, cardiorespiratory tests and structured report.

  • + PSA / prostate check

Adds a PSA blood test and clinical prostate examination with a urologist review if needed.

  • + CTCA / calcium score

Adds a CT coronary angiogram or calcium score for men with cardiovascular risk factors.

  • + Testosterone panel

Adds a morning fasting testosterone, SHBG, free testosterone and LH/FSH panel.

  • + Fertility work-up

Adds a semen analysis and reproductive hormone panel for men planning a family.

  • + DEXA body-composition

Adds a DEXA scan for body fat, lean mass and bone density — useful for midlife baselining.

Our vetted London network

A small panel of clinics, we picked them.

Partners across central, north, west and south London. Not listed publicly — introductions are made privately, once we understand your case.

Selection criteria

How we choose every clinic in our network.

Consultant-led
  • Consultant physicians and urologists leading each screen

  • UKAS-accredited laboratories for all pathology

  • In-house imaging — ultrasound, CTCA and DEXA available on site

  • Same-day results discussion for most bloods, with imaging within 3-5 days

Honest limits and safety

What a screen can — and cannot — do.

The most important thing is understanding what a screen can and cannot tell you. We cover both, honestly, before you arrive.

  • Fasting for blood tests

Fast for 8-12 hours before the appointment for lipids, glucose and liver bloods. Water is fine.

  • Avoid heavy exercise 48 hrs before

If measuring creatine kinase (CK) and testosterone, avoid heavy exercise for 48 hours before.

  • Testosterone timing

Testosterone should be a morning fasting sample — ideally between 07:00 and 10:00.

  • PSA — no cycling or sexual activity 48 hrs before

Both can transiently raise PSA. Ejaculation and cycling should be avoided for 48 hours before the test.

  • Bring your usual medication list

A complete list of current medications, supplements and doses helps interpretation.

  • Executive package can include CTCA

CTCA needs radiology capacity — book early so the full day is scheduled cleanly.

  • Same-day results for most bloods

Most bloods come back same day; imaging results follow within 3-5 days.

  • Always share prior tests

Old bloods, imaging and specialist letters give context that changes what a value means.

  • A chaperone is available

A chaperone is available for any intimate examination — always your choice, always offered.

Reading your report

A screening report can look intimidating. It isn’t.

However much ground it covers, the report keeps to the same four parts.

A quiet reminder

The report is written for a clinician — so we translate it, and tell you what matters.

If you would like us to talk you through it before your follow-up, just ask.

Frequently asked

Everything we get asked about well-man screens.

Quick answers on what is included, fasting, PSA timing, cost, testosterone timing, mental-health, fertility and when to see a GP urgently.

  • What does a well-man screen include?

A consultant-led consultation and examination, bloods (HbA1c, lipids, liver, kidney, thyroid), ECG, urinalysis, cardiovascular risk score, mental-health check-in and lifestyle review. Add-ons include PSA/prostate check, testosterone panel, CTCA/calcium score, DEXA and fertility work-up.

  • Do I need to fast?

Yes — fast for 8-12 hours before the appointment for lipids, glucose and liver bloods. Water is fine. If you are on regular medication, take it as normal unless told otherwise.

  • Should PSA be done before or after the examination?

PSA should be taken before the clinical prostate examination. Also avoid ejaculation and cycling for 48 hours before, as both can transiently raise PSA levels.

  • How long does it take?

The essentials and standard packages run as a half-day. The executive full-day and add-on combinations (CTCA, testosterone, fertility, DEXA) run as a full day. We schedule everything so there is no waiting around.

  • How much does a private well-man screen cost in London?

An essentials well-man is £450-£900, a standard well-man £800-£1,600 and an executive full-day £1,500-£3,000. Add-ons (PSA, CTCA, testosterone) sit between £950 and £3,200. We confirm firm figures within one working day.

  • When should testosterone be taken?

Testosterone should be a morning fasting sample, ideally between 07:00 and 10:00 — levels drop through the day, and a single afternoon reading is not reliable.

  • Is there a mental-health component?

Yes. Every well-man screen includes structured screens for anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, discussed openly with your consultant. Onward referral to a psychologist or psychiatrist is arranged if useful.

  • Can you add a fertility work-up?

Yes — a fertility add-on includes a semen analysis and reproductive hormone panel (LH, FSH, testosterone, prolactin). It is a good option for men planning a family in the next 6-12 months.

  • Do you consider a partner’s pregnancy?

Yes. If your partner is pregnant or trying to conceive, we adjust the screen — some radiology and interventions are deferred, and lifestyle advice is aligned with the pregnancy timeline.

  • When should I see a GP urgently instead of booking a screen?

If you have chest pain, blood in the urine, a testicular lump, unintentional weight loss, new bleeding or acute breathlessness — see a GP or A&E first. A scheduled well-man screen is not the right route for urgent problems.
