What is Presbyond?
Presbyond is a customised LASIK profile designed by ZEISS for presbyopia. It uses a controlled amount of spherical aberration in each eye and a small blur zone between distance and near to give a smooth range of focus - usually enough to remove the need for reading glasses in the majority of tasks.

Will I be free of reading glasses?
Most patients are free of reading glasses for the majority of daily tasks. Fine print in dim light may still need readers, especially after age 60. The best predictor of success is the contact lens simulation trial before surgery.

How is Presbyond different from monovision?
Traditional monovision sets one eye for distance and the other for near, with a real gap between the two - many patients find it uncomfortable. Presbyond uses a smaller offset plus deliberate optics to blend the two eyes seamlessly, with a much higher tolerance rate.
