Safety and downtime

What to expect, honestly.

A well-tolerated injectable with a short social downtime. The result is gradual, not instant.

  • Small bumps for 24–48 hours

    Rejuran leaves visible micro-blebs across the treated area that settle within a day or two. Plan around social events.

  • Bruising is common

    Peri-orbital treatment in particular can bruise. Avoid alcohol, aspirin and fish oil for 48 hours before if you are able.

  • Not an instant result

    This is a bioregenerative injection, not a filler. Meaningful skin-quality change appears at 8 to 12 weeks, after the full course.

  • Salmon allergy contraindication

    Rejuran is derived from salmon DNA. A confirmed fish allergy is a contraindication. Pregnancy and active skin infection are also.

  • Stack sensibly

    Rejuran combines well with Profhilo, skinboosters and microneedling on separate visits. We space treatments so nothing competes.

  • Aftercare

  • What is Rejuran and how is it different from a filler?

    Rejuran is a polynucleotide injectable made by Pharma Research Products in Korea. It is derived from salmon DNA (a fragment called PDRN, or polydeoxyribonucleotide) and is injected in a grid pattern into the deep dermis. Unlike a hyaluronic acid filler, it does not add volume. It signals your skin to repair, so the result is improved skin quality over 8 to 12 weeks rather than an immediate lift.

  • How is Rejuran different from Plinest, Newest or other polynucleotides?

    Plinest and Newest are Italian polynucleotide brands (Mastelli, Priama) that work through the same bioregenerative mechanism. The main differences are the source (Italian trout gonads versus Korean salmon sperm), molecular weight, concentration and licensed indication. Clinical results are broadly comparable. Rejuran has more brand recognition thanks to Korean K-beauty demand, and the range (Healer, I, S, HB) is targeted at specific concerns.

  • How many sessions will I need and how often?

    The standard face course is 3 sessions spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart, followed by a top-up every 6 to 12 months. Scar and peri-orbital protocols sometimes extend to 4 sessions. Your injector will confirm at the consultation based on skin thickness, age and the concern being treated.

  • What does it cost in London?

    A single Rejuran Healer session for the face is £280 to £450, and a course of three is £850 to £1,400. Rejuran I for the eye area runs £380 to £650 per session because the technique is more demanding. Rejuran S for scars is £280 to £450 per session. Prices vary by clinic tier and injector.

  • Is there any real downtime?

    The small injection bumps are the main issue. They flatten within 24 to 48 hours. Peri-orbital work bruises more often than the cheeks. Most patients treat on a Thursday or Friday and are camera-ready by Monday. There is no peeling and no need to hide indoors.
